Our CEO/CIO (Chief Investment Officer), retired Brigadier General Joseph L. Shaefer, serves as a consultant and sub-advisor to financial and geopolitical institutions who solicit his perspective on world events. With his dual experience track in capital markets and geo-political affairs, General Shaefer stands at the nexus of financial, military, national, and international affairs.

With 6 years experience in Special Operations (Airborne PSYOP and Special Forces, US Army) and 30 more years in Intelligence (primarily HUMINT — Human Intelligence — US Air Force and Intelligence Community) General Shaefer has served in the Middle East, Southeast and Northeast Asia, and numerous other emerging and developed locations.

He has been an intelligence analyst, area specialist, strategic interrogator / debriefer, defense attaché in Southeast Asia, and Air Combat Command A2 (Director, Air Intelligence). He is adjunct professor of Intelligence and Counterterrorism at American Military University.
